We invite you to take part in the Annual Meeting of the International Expert Council for Cooperation in the Arctic on the topic of "Scientific Diplomacy as a Tool for Maintaining Dialogue in the Arctic".
This year, the regular meeting will be held on 11/29/2024 on the basis of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, the responsible organizer will be the Center for Strategic Studies of the Faculty of Economics.
Experts will come together to discuss the development of international cooperation in the Arctic region and the special role of scientific diplomacy in the process of achieving a productive dialogue between the states of the Arctic Council.
During the event, in the format of speeches and discussions, participants will outline the role of science in strengthening trust-based cooperation between the Arctic Council states, consider the impact of scientific diplomacy on the global environmental agenda and sustainable development of the Arctic, and discuss the problems and prospects of international scientific projects in the Arctic region.
Experts in the field of international relations, scientists, diplomats and representatives of authorities responsible for the development of the Arctic region are invited to participate.
